GETTING IN CHARACTER: A Workshop for Writers
Great stories begin with great characters. “Getting in Character” is a workshop* that will motivate the beginning writer take the plunge into fiction—and help intermediate and advanced writers add new dimensions to works-in-progress.
Participants receive a Character-Building questionnaire, a short reading list, and a Moderator’s Guide a week before the workshop. Many librarians set aside a two-hour period for the seminar, although you can expect that a successful program may run longer. The workshop process is simple: the group elects a moderator, and discussion begins.
